Casing Check List

Within a reasonable time prior to the beginning of the casing operation, the Company Drilling and Completion Supervisor and the Drilling Contractor's Toolpusher shall physically check the availability on the rig of all materials necessary to operations. The following check list may be used as a guideline.

1. Casing joints, enough for planned depth with 5-10% excess or a min. of 10 joints.
2. Float equipment (float shoe, float collar, stage collar back-up are recommended).
3. Casing compound.
4. Thread lock compound.
5. Solvent to clean casing threads.
6. Centralisers, scratchers, stop collars and nails as per centralisation program.
7. API casing drift (special Teflon drift is required for CRA casing).
8. Wellhead equipment (casing spool, slips, packing, wear bushing, etc.) with back-up.
9. Cementing plug set with back-up.
10. Casing circulating head (swedge) with thread consistent with casing in use and backup.
11. Cementing head (multiplugs with indicating flag).
12. Casing power tong with back-up and power unit.
13. Casing manual tongs.
14. Casing slip-type elevator and spider.
15. Casing single joint elevator. p) Casing hand-set rotary slips.
16. Casing thread protectors (klampons).
17. Cement.
18. Water.
19. Mud volume (also considering the case of a displacement without returns).
20. Cement additives.
21. Diatomite, bentonite or whatever needed if light slurry should be mixed.
22. Chemicals to prepare spacers, if required.
23. Inner stinger and centraliser, if required.
24. Handling equipment (pick up slings, manila rope, etc.).
25. Torque monitoring system (required for Corrosion Resistant Alloy casing or 7" casing).
26. Casing stabbing guide (for premium connections and production casing string).
27. HP hose or chicksan line for circulating or reciprocating casing (minimum 15m length).
28. Pick-up the casing unit.
29. Dope applicator (for Corrosion Resistant Alloy and production casing string).
30. Special handling equipment (nylon pick up slings, wooden cover for pipe rack and V-door, etc.) required when Corrosion Resistant Alloy casing should be run.
31. Casing suspension equipment (surface, mudline, subsea).
